JRC Petrified Wood Gallery Ogallala NE

In November, 2003, the Petrified Wood Gallery Junior Rockhound Club came into being. It is open to all area school-aged children. There are no membership fees and no scheduled meetings. Corporate sponsors for the club are Bradley J Hoppens, DDS, Michael J Knott, DDS and James J Rezac, DDS.

How does it work? Each month, members will receive notification to come to Gallery to pick up that month’s featured rock, gem or fossil. In addition, they will receive educational information concerning the month’s specimen and, from time-to-time, club members will be invited to come to the Gallery for special demonstrations by Howard and Harvey Kenfield.

Members of the Junior Rockhound Club are also entitled to a 10% discount on purchases from the Gallery's Gift Shop. (some exceptions apply)
